Background
The treatment of head and neck cancer has seen numerous advancements in recent years. Many of these treatments, however, can result in long-lasting functional and structural changes. This leaves patients at an increased risk of experiencing psychological distress. This module aims to provide insight into how nurses can help support patients through these difficult perioperative and rehabilitation periods. In addition, information on the different head and neck cancer categories and treatment options are also covered through various interactive modalities.

Duration
This e-learning module will take you just 60 minutes of module-based learning. Optional pre-reading available in the ‘resources’ section on this page will take approximately 30-60 minutes. Accreditation 
A certificate is still available to download upon module completion to add to your portfolio, however accreditation received by the Federation of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has expired.
